Although the weather in the fall can be more unpredictable than even summer, the scenery becomes surrealistic. I credit this to lighting effects. because the earth is quickly shifting its position in relation to the sun we experience a ‘sunset’ effect that lasts for hours. The suns rays cross the atmosphere at nearly a horizontal angle with the land and produce skies like this. Alaska’s Geo-position is what allows for us to begin viewing displays of the Aurora Borealis by late October also.

Fall is also my favorite time to fish for trout – char -  and graylings. The fish, the leaves, the skies, what’s not to like?
